Nest Fest

Our second annual festival of habitat.

Last year we built dozens of nest boxes for tree swallows. Almost every single one of them got moved into, basically immediately. Come spring they'll be back with kith and kin in tow, and we plan to have more homes ready to meet them! We'll also be making some wood duck and bat boxes! Maybe more than that too; our ambition knows no limit!

It'll be a lark 🐦 and a hoot 🦉 so come flock 🐦 to Heartseed on Monday April 6th (and 5th for the prep day if you want that early worm 🪱)

We'll have materials and tools ready (also BYO encouraged), so RSVP so we can count our chickens 🐔 before they hatch 🐣 Spots limited by materials and space!

We'll have some food for you to wet your beak 🐦 with if you're feeling peckish 🐦 and yummy treats to swallow 🐦 Feel free to bring something to share (bonus points for bird food theme (seed bread? worms n dirt?))

$35 covers all the materials for a freestanding nest box – if you don't have a suitable spot to put it, we have plenty! If you don't want a box but want to help that's great too!
